AI tools are part of how we work at Hilvy. We think that's worth being open about — not because we're obliged to say so, but because the people we work with deserve a straight answer.
This page explains what we use AI for, where we deliberately don't, and how we handle anything that touches your project or data.
We use AI tools to support internal work — things like research, drafting documentation, exploring ideas, and reviewing code. These tools help our team move faster and consider angles we might otherwise miss.
Everything we produce with AI assistance is reviewed, edited, and signed off by a member of our team before it goes anywhere near a client. We don't ship AI output unchecked.
Strategy, creative direction, architectural decisions, and the judgement calls that shape your project come from people — not from a model. AI doesn't set the direction of your work, write your brief, or make decisions on your behalf.
We also don't use AI to pad out deliverables or cut corners on the thinking. If something has our name on it, a person on our team has thought it through.
We don't put client data, commercially sensitive materials, personal information, or anything covered by an NDA into third-party AI tools. That's a hard line, not a guideline.
Where AI tools touch any workflow that's adjacent to client work, we make sure those tools meet appropriate data handling and privacy standards before we use them. If we're ever unsure, we don't use them.
Every piece of work we deliver — whether AI assisted or not — is owned and accountable to a human on our team. We believe AI is most useful as a thinking aid, not as a replacement for expertise or responsibility.
If a client ever asks whether and how AI was used in their project, we'll tell them directly and honestly.
AI tooling is changing quickly. This policy reflects how we work right now, in March 2026. As the tools develop and our practices change, we'll update this page to reflect that honestly.
If you have questions about how we use AI on your project specifically, just ask — we're happy to talk through it.
